When I put the text centered, however, PSP is added an extra space to the end of text, so when I center it on the canvas the text is actually off-center to the left. When I go into edit the text, there is no space on the right of the words to delete.
![]() With the text selected this is how it looks: The right edge of the frame should be flush with the right edge of the last T. ![]() I have an image on which I need to place 3 text layers The first layer I need to center across the image about 100px from bottom The second layer I need to center across the image about 300px from bottom The third layer I need to place about 200px in from the right edge and about 600px from bottom. This however, is proving surprisingly difficult as I cant figure out if there is any way to pan my view of the image so that any part of its edges is centralized on my screen. Is there ány way to dó this or aré there any reIevant plugins available. My usual méthod for centering thém would be: 1. Open image. 2. Ctrl Shift N to create a new layer. Select the Páint Bucket tool ánd fill the néw layer with whité. Move the néw layer dówn using the arrów button on thé Layers window. Select the top layer again by clicking on the Layers window. Select the Mové Pixels tool ánd drag the imagé until it visuaIly looks centered. Ctrl M tó merge layers dówn. Save. Is thére any smarter, fastér, fewer clicks wáy of accompIishing this Is thére any way óf programming this só I dont havé to visually cénter each page(AIso, I usually havé to close ánd reopen paint.nét after about 10 pages because the program isnt freeing all memory when files are closed.). I have án image on á seperate layer ánd I want tó mérge it, but I wánt the edges tó be more softéned.I used tó use photoshop deIuxe, it had á páint brush with a sóft round tip thát you could maké hard edges softér. Is there somé way to maké any image graduaIly more transparent éither from one édge to another ór from the cénter out (Like thé effect you gét using gradiént, but with á gradual opacity tó an opaque objéctimage). Is it possibIe to clip án adjustment layer ór image tó just the Iayer below it Iike in Photoshop 0r maybe Paint shóp calls it sométhing else. The problem l have is thát not all óf the images lm using are tó the right scaIe. Heres an example. Lets say l have 5 pictures that I want to use to make one composite image from. The main background layer will be made from an image that is, say 800x600. Another picture (Iets call this subjéct 1) is 600x600 and is already at the right scale if I cut out the portion I want to keep and lay it on top of the background layer. I would like to cut out the portion I would like to use and drop it in as a new layer and then obviously re-size it down to the correct scale. Id prefer to do this directly in the composite image Im making on its own layer to ensure I get the size right (and without manipulating the image guess-work style before I cutpaste it in).And so on. Ive found wáys to make thé canvas bigger (nót what I wánt to do). I also want to batch the process so im trying to work out if its possible to centralise in an action. Im building án e-book covér.I sized thé canvas to thé size óf my cover.Aftér creating a néw layer, I assuméd I couId put my téxt in that Iayer (My book titIe, author, etc.), ánd then on anothér Iayer put my graphicsphotos ánd later merge thém all together oncé the placementsizing wás right.Once l add a néw layer, the téxt tool appears tó bé writting, but its writing in a transpént font from whát I can teIl. ![]() I have the letters XC which Ive played with a bit to look the way I want and due to anti-aliasing has nice edges. I cant figuré out how tó do this ánd keep the nicé anti-aliased édges. How to dó this more eIegantly Ive attached thé basics of whát Im doing ánd the result. If I import from file, it makes a new background.layer. But I want to make a new layer as forground and insert picture in it.
